How to get your business included in the new Facebook Professional Services results



If you haven’t already heard, Facebook has another new feature/change for businesses. Facebook Professional Services is a new recommendation service that lets users find reviewed and top-rated businesses in their local area. You have to have a Facebook business page to be included, so if you don’t, what are you waiting for?

The way that it’s planned to work is probably not that dissimilar to a Google search. And you will see reviews in the same way that you can on Yelp or Google. But Facebook may start to become the favoured place for reviews because you will be able to see what your friends think (well, your Facebook friends). And people trust their friends, so that’s valuable for business and sales.

You can search for a business type (ie/ Indian restaurant, optician etc.) and then for a location. You can see below how the search result might look:

Reviews are given importance in the way that results are laid out, and people can filter their results as well. So it’s more important than ever that you have as much information about your business included on your Facebook business page than ever, in particular your location and business type. And also, encourage people who normally review your business elsewhere (ie/ TripAdvisor, reevoo, your website etc.) to add a review to your Facebook page.
